Mabuhay Energy Corporation (MECO) Chief Operations Officer Jacqueline Castillo represented the Philippines in the panel discussion titled Utility-Scale Solar Deployment in Asia: Opportunities and Challenges for Scaling Up Solar Energy Deployment. As the sole Filipina executive in this panel discussion, Jacqueline boasted of the Philippines' growing investment in transitioning towards clean and renewable energy. This transition promises reliable, competitively priced electricity while ensuring long-term sustainability. She also emphasized the importance of achieving a balance between economic growth and environmental sustainability and suggested exploring agrivoltaic solar technology as a potential solution.
